On April 20, Serbian government adopted a decree on subsidizing farmers’ investments concerning the production and distribution of fruit, grapes, vegetables, mushrooms, and flowers. The subsidies will apply to purchases starting at RSD 30,000 of new equipment and machinery for harvesting and sowing. They also apply to a number of other types of investments, including protecting crops from diseases, hail and low temperatures, and the installation of irrigation systems. The government also adopted a decree on subsidizing 40% of premiums on crop and livestock insurance. At the same time, it adopted a decree on subsidizing the development of new vineyards, fruit orchards, and hops and gentian plantations.
